ScrollMark is a Chrome browser extension developed by DavSoft. It saves and restores scroll positions on web pages, allowing you to return to exactly where you left off. This privacy policy describes how ScrollMark handles user data.

3. Permissions and Justification

ScrollMark requests the following browser permissions, each necessary for core functionality:

• storage — Required to save scroll positions, page associations, and user settings locally on your device.
• tabs — Required to detect page navigation and associate scroll positions with specific URLs.
• activeTab — Required to read and set the scroll position on the currently active page.

4. Data Sharing

ScrollMark does not share any data with third parties. No analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used. No data is transmitted to any external server.

5. Data Retention

All data is stored locally in your browser's extension storage and persists until you either clear the data through the extension's settings, uninstall the extension, or clear your browser data. You have full control over your data at all times.

6. User Rights

You may view, export, or delete your data at any time through the extension interface. Uninstalling the extension removes all associated data from your device.

7. Security

All data is stored using Chrome's built-in extension storage mechanism, which isolates extension data from other extensions and websites. No data leaves your device.
