Introduction

This privacy policy describes how ScrollMark, a Chrome extension developed by DavSoft, collects, uses, and protects your information. ScrollMark is a scroll position saver that remembers where you left off on web pages and automatically restores your scroll position when you return.

What Data We Collect

ScrollMark collects and processes the following data to provide its scroll position saving functionality:

• Scroll Positions: The vertical and horizontal scroll coordinates for web pages you visit
• Page URLs: The URLs of pages where scroll positions are saved
• Timestamps: When scroll positions were last saved or updated
• User Settings: Your preferences for auto-save behavior, restoration settings, and whitelist/blacklist rules

We do not collect page content, browsing history beyond saved URLs, or any personally identifiable information.

How Data Is Stored

All data collected by ScrollMark is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API (chrome.storage). Your scroll positions and saved URLs never leave your browser and are not transmitted to any external servers operated by DavSoft or any third parties.

Data is stored within your Chrome browser's local storage, which is synchronized across your devices only if you have Chrome Sync enabled in your Google account settings. This synchronization is managed entirely by Google, not by DavSoft.

What Data We Share

We do not share any of your data with third parties. Since all data is stored locally within your browser, DavSoft has no access to your scroll positions, saved URLs, or any other information generated by the extension.

Third-Party Services

ScrollMark operates entirely offline and does not integrate with any third-party services for its core functionality.

If you choose to upgrade to a premium version of ScrollMark (if available), payment processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. In such cases, your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe according to their privacy policy. DavSoft does not have access to your complete payment card information.

Data Security

Because all data is stored locally within your Chrome browser using secure browser APIs, your data security depends on:

• The security of your device and user account
• Chrome's built-in security mechanisms for extension data storage
• Your Google account security (if using Chrome Sync)

We recommend keeping your browser and operating system updated, using strong passwords, and enabling two-factor authentication on your Google account for maximum security.

Children's Privacy

ScrollMark is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through this extension, please contact us at support@davsoft.ai.
